Devadoss heart center is an ultramodern cardiac centre with both cathlab and cardiac surgery facilities. The centre is situated in Devadoss Multispeciality Hospital premises a 200 bedded Multispeciality hospital. The hospital caters to the health needs of the people of South Tamil Nadu.

The key features Devadoss heart centre is an ultramodern laminar airflow (Zero bacteria) modular operation theatre for cardiac surgery, dedicated cardiothoracic I ICU for post operative patients with a dedicated team of surgeon, anesthetist, technicians and nurses.

All types of heart surgeries, including coronary artery bypass surgeries (CABG) beating heart surgery, valvular heart surgeries and child heart surgeries are performed at the centre.

Devadoss heart centre also has a high-tech GE (USA) cathlab where our skilled cardiologist perform various procedures for coronary artery diseases valvular diseases and other heart conditions viz Angiography, Angioplasty and balloon angioplasty, Balloon valvuloplasty closure of ASD, drug eluting stenting to name a few. Dr.r. Saravanan M.D.,D.M(Cardio) F.N.B (Interventional cardiology), Dr.Ramesh Ramachandran M.D.,D.M(Cardio) Interventional Cardiology) and Dr. Palanisamy M.D.,D.M(Cardio) are our senior consultant cardiologists.
We have a eight bed coronary care dedicated and skilled doctors and nurses to compliment the cath lab.

Angio and Cardiac Surgery can be done under package rates.The cost for the Open heart Surgery includes Hospital Charges, Drugs and Disposables and Professional Fees. The package allows for a total Hospital stay of 9 days. If the stay exceeds for some reason, the charges will be additional(Room rent, Medicines, Laboratory investigations, Diet etc.,).

This also includes Room Rent, Operation Theatre Charges, usage of Imported Monitoring Gadgets,Intensive Care Unit (ICU) & High Dependency Unit (HDU) stay including Ventilator charges,Pre and Post- Operative Tests and Investigations such as ECG, CXR, ECHO, Blood gas analysis,laboratory investigations, transfusion of 3 units of Blood as well as Diet for the patient.

It is also called myocardial infarction, Heart attack usually occurs when there is a blockage of blood flow to the heart muscle Without blood, tissue loses oxygen and dies. Symptoms include tightness or pain in the chest, neck, back or arms, as well as fatigue, abnormal heartbeat and anxiety. After recovering from a heart attack we need to change lifestyle and cardiac rehabilitation to medication that can prevent you from the next attack.

The Improper beating of the heart is called Arrhythmia, the irregular heart beat can be too fast or too slow. When a heart beats too fast, the condition is called tachycardia. When a heart beats too slowly, the condition is called bradycardia. It occurs when electrical impulses in the heart don't work properly. There will be no prior symptoms but alternatively you feel symptoms like fluttering in the chest, chest pain, fainting or dizziness.
